In-game Message Problem

My problem is one I've never heard before. And, it may not even be a technical one but I need to start somewhere to try to correct it so here goes.

My problem is with the in-game mail system.

While logging in a couple weeks ago, I noticed that the in-game mail notification system indicated that I had 1 in-game mail message from RuneScape. I did what I always did, clicked on the notification to opened another window and went to read my unread message. I was confused to find that I had no unread message to read. I figured that there must have been a glitch somewhere and closed out that window and continued playing the game. Not a problem, right, no biggie. I continued playing Runescape that day and when done, logged out awaiting the next day of play.

The very next day I logged in to play again and guess what. Another in-game indication of an unread message caught my eye. I did as above to read the message and again, there was no unread message for me to read.

For the past couple weeks now, I have followed this routine and decided to try to find some way to end my hunt for that mysterious "un-read' message.

Please, any advise would be greatly received.

Be advised:

It was a bit taxing but, I think I did get a "bug" report sent after finally successfully navigating to where I could do something.

By the way, what the heck is "the Ray ID". I had no idea so since it was a "required" item, I put a "?" for the required something and guess it took it. lol

Guess it's a waiting game now.

A couple weeks ago I sent a possible bug report concerning the pet Artemis. The next day the in-game mail notification system indicated that I had 1 unread mail message. I went to read my unread message and was confused to find that I had no unread message to read. Since then, every time I log in, the mail system indicates I have an unread message and every time I go to read it, there is no unread message to read.


Today is the 13th day of the month (UK time). What does that have to do with me and my RuneScape messaging problem? Let me explain.

For the past 15+ years, I have received a message on the 13th day of every month letting me know that they received my monthly credit card payment. Today, being the 13th day of the month (payment day), my RuneScape messaging problem deepens. Like the past 30+ days, the messaging system indicates that I had 1 unread message. Surly, this would be the message telling me they received my credit card payment. I went to read the message but, again there was no message to read. But wait, now after 15+ years, I don't know if they received the credit card monthly payment for me to continue playing the game?

So:

I didn't post the above on the 13th and it is now the 14th (UK). I logged in and had the message notification, as usual. I was very surprised when I found an actual unread message. It was my notification of payment received.

And now it is the 15th (UK). When I logged in, the messaging system told me I had NO unread message. Hopefully, My messaging problem has been corrected.
