I have both launchers installed and i before i switch to a jagex account, i need to know if i can still use the RuneScape launcher if for some reason i can't get the jagex launcher to work. For example, the new launcher won't work for me can i load the old one and still login to play on it? what creds would i use?

I tried to play on the old launcher and it keeps telling me my login is wrong now.. when it isn't. I think once we switch over to the Jagex Launcher, we're stuck with that. It doesn't help right now considering I am unable to log in given the fact the verification code email won't show up, so I can't even play right now.

The launcher has been out for over a year now, and hasnt blocked anyone from using the standalone client since released. Its Jagex Accounts that are changing the login process.

Once migrating to a Jagex Account, you will have to use the launcher (or mobile) to play the game.

The old login portal will not work. It searches for standalone RS accounts to log into. Jagex accounts have a separate login portal through the website, which the launcher and mobile access.

The email issues seems to be something with Yahoo/AOL atm. Looks to hopefully be fixed in the next day or so. Most people had it fixed today, but some are still stuck right now. Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?
