(I forgot to mention this is on the Oldschool version, not sure if rs3 even has GIM at the moment.)

When I attempt to enable the permanent setting on my group ironman account, it will not work with the message "This option is not available to you at this time." in chat.
I'd not only like it to be permanent, but am also untrusting of the bank pin being basically the only layer of security used to remove ironman mode if you were to get hijacked.
Though what is strange, I am dead certain I did already enable this (or attempted, maybe the same thing happened then and I didn't notice) and do already have the total level requirement.
Is this because I am a group ironman or am missing other requirements?

Doing some research on your issue, it seems that the permanent Ironman option is not available to Group Ironmen. This information was gathered from a recent Reddit post on a similar topic, where it was found that the permanent feature was not available to Group Ironmen.

Ah, that is unfortunate, but hopefully they could add the feature later on.
