32:9 Aspect Ratio - 5120x1440p

Just googled rs3 32:9 and saw your post. I am a bit late hope you didnt quit
maybe from the time you posted til now Jagex implemented something to allow 32:9. I have the same monitor as well and feel your pain when it comes to other games. For me I rather have a slightly larger interface than the annoying black bars so I just changed to 135% scaling and locked it full screen so the taskbar doesn't interfere with gameplay. I did make chat text 10pt, zoomed out the camera, and messed around with my layout so the 135% isn't as bad.
And yes... more game devs should have 32:9 support but then again but most people have either 16:9 or 21:9.
Side note: Widescreen Gaming Forum(WSGF)'s master game list shows which games support 32:9 or other aspect ratio, and if there are any workarounds. I didn't see RuneScape on there but your interface scaling is enough for me
