My new ISP has decided to give me a rotating IP that changes every time I establish ANY new connection. This seems to include hopping worlds, resulting in me being booted to the login screen.
Is there, like, any remedy to this at all? or is the game just unplayable.
Do you use a VPN? Have you tried setting a static IP address?
ISPs will rotate your IP address if there's more users than IP addresses they have available. Right now it looks like you're disconnecting to your current service provider whenever you hop worlds.
You might be able to continue pinging something else to prevent that.

Might be worth it to ask if they can give you a longer lease time (IP Lease time) so that you aren't getting new IPs so often. If not, then as Wabanki said, a VPN might be of help.
