I have been having this issue for several weeks. My laptop is relatively new. I bought it last September. The game screen goes black all of the sudden. I can still play the game but I can't see what I am doing. I can see the text in game and that allows me to continue skilling. I notice that sometimes I just turn on the game and it is already a black screen. I have to log in a few times until I get one that shows an image. My driver says that it is up to date. I have had issues with my laptop accepting the driver updates in the past. Everything works fine in my laptop save this game.

Is there anything I should try?

Hello,

I would try to force your laptops dedicated GPU to render RuneScape. Sometimes if your laptop turns off its dGPU and uses the onboard one, it can cause weird issues like what you are describing. I would recommend googling what laptop you have or graphics card and seeing how to force certain programs/games to use the dedicated GPU. Hope this helps!
