I had just logged in this morning and had been in game about 1-1/2 hrs when, during combat, I was logged out; and my attempt to get back in the game brought up the message, "...your game session has now ended. please close your browser..." What is this?

Good evening,

I believe this has been implemented a few years ago to fight bots.

Do you keep your game client open as you logout of the game - say when you logout you keep your PC running or put it on idle? If yes; this could cause the issue you are facing as your game session is tied to the instance of the client ( but not the game login period ), and your public-facing IP address if I am not mistaken.

Make sure you close the client/application after you have logged out of the game to avoid this happening again in the future. Do you happen to use a VPN? Ooh, shiny things!

My PC does have a PIN just to use it. I do log out (close down) the RS client whenever I log out of the game.

I get this just trying to log in, every single time. I can't use the client and can't switch worlds with the beta launcher which is what I'm forced to use just to play at all. I can't do the citadel because that involves changing worlds. Is there any help for this at all?
