After yesterday's update I loaded the game and got a black screen. I slashed the graphics to minimum and could at least load the my character and move around on the map. I then switched graphics to low and still could move around while experiencing screen flicker of flashing. I set on medium and the map wouldn't even load.

I uninstalled the launcher and reinstalled; no change. I uninstalled launcher and deleted jag cache, reloaded and no change.

This has happened before after certain updates. 1) some bank inventory items are discolored, or even white blank squares. 2) custom graphic setup makes the game unplayable. 3) minimum graphic setting is the only setting to make the game playable. 4) if on low graphic setting i can move around on the map, however if I teleport, all i get is black screen with "game loading" in the upper left corner.

I can't update the graphic card for it's no longer supported. I'm not going to purchase a new computer or graphic card when I'm fairly certain this is a jagex problem. I hope this can be straightened out and may try to reload next week to see. Good luck all.

I am having the exact same issues. Near constant screen flickering while moving around. No issues experienced until the most recent updates. No acknowledgement from Jagex about this at all?

RS3 is basically unplayable right now with these graphical glitches.

I'll keep trying but I've been playing for 13 years and am getting closer to the burn urn, so I just dont wish to be bothered anymore. I've been playing 3 years without paying actual money so I figure i'm just out my time. Good luck.

I am running on linux so I considered not responding at all, but even on min settings cept draw distance, I still getting noticeable pauses running around.

Even with the game running at half the resolution of my screen I am getting 100+ fps drops walking around.

This is awful and no amount of tinkering with drivers, compatibility layers etc seems to fix this. I'm running 16gb of ram and a 3060m so this really shouldn't be a thing.

In my view, they should be simplifying gameplay, rather than complicating it. I know Jagex designers want the state of the art systems that require state of the art players, but many of us are cutting back and making do with what we have. If that means changing games, so be it. Good luck to you and yours.

Since the graphical update about 2 weeks ago i'm also getting huge amounts of flickering and I constantly have to resize my game window to stop it. Also my game text is smaller and very torn lettering and ugly to read, it's never been like this before. Specifically the XP gained text at the top right, and the public chat box text. Very frustrating. Hoping they can revert some of the updates which has caused these graphics meltdowns for many players.

I noticed MSAA anti-aliasing has been acting very strange since that update too.
It would start out as a gradual reduction in fps over several hours and would eventually get stuck at 30 fps and I also discovered that using any transmog(ring of coins, etc) would instantly cause the fps to drop to less then 5 fps and my gpu would suddenly be under full load for no reason. Also resizing the window would sometimes cause the fps to nosedive and I'd have to restart the client. FXAA on the other hand just works reliably without trying to cook a good gpu.

I cannot play RS and have been a member 20 years, first time ever (due to graphics glitching)
I am using a brand new PC with a fully up to date Intel ARC graphics card, drivers are WHQL certified.
When I launch RS it flickers then turns pixelated, I have tried running the graphics optimization and its the same, if I minimize to a tiny window its ok but we are talking tiny. As this PC is only a week or two old, RS should run ok albeit slow with an onboard graphics card.

Edit.. In full screen mode I do not see a mouse cursor :)
Edit 2 .. if it helps anyone else change "game Render Scaling to less than 60% and the flickering totally stops, soon as you hit 60% its back, game looks like crap though :)
