Getting "Jagex Launcher"

I had "Jagex" Launcher a few months ago and had problems; so removed it from my PC. However, the files in that folder are still there.

Now I've downloaded the "Jagex Launcher" and have the .exe file waiting to get it installed. When I attempt to do this I get message "folder must be empty"; yet when I go to where that folder is and try to "delete" each of those files I get message they are "in use".

I'm running Windows 10.... I need step-by-step instructions as to how to get this Jagex Launcher installed. Can anyone help?

The Jagex Launcher may be running in the background. Open your systray and see if there is a Jagex icon in there (a black square with a white Jagex 'X'). If it's there, right click it and click 'Exit' to close it.

Next, I would check the 'Apps' page of the settings, and see if the Launcher is listed there. If it is, then right click, and click 'Uninstall'.

Then try installing it from your freshly downloaded installer. Glad to be of service :) (Powered by GPP™ - Share and Enjoy!)

What and where is the "systray" and how do I open it?
Is the "Apps" page of the settings in the Control Panel?

Going to close all down and reboot; then see if I can get the Launcher installed.......

Click on the Settings cog wheel on the start menu, then click on the Apps button:
