So I upgraded to a Jagex Account yesterday and unfortunately for me, was met with issues. Firstly, the launcher wouldn't load at all, but I was able to fix this by installing updates to my windows 10.
Now, I've run into a different problem:
The launcher prompted me to login to my Jagex Account using my username (e-mail), password and afterwards, a code from my mobile authenticator. I logged in and made it to the main launcher screen, but a message appeared at the bottom of the launcher stating "sorry your account could not be added try again".
I installed Old School Runescape and went to:
1. Manage Accounts
2. Add an account
However, when I typed my Jagex account credentials I received a "invalid username or password" response. I typed the password several times, being sure to be exact, even trying to copy and paste the exact password (keep in mind, it's the same one I used to login to the forums right now!).
I have one, and only one, character linked to this account (and it's my only character in general). I have no accounts/logins/characters showing up in my Jagex Launcher, and I did hit the "log out of all accounts" as well (despite never being logged into any, just to be sure).
I've now been timed out from attempting to add an account again for "a few hours" (anyone know how long this is *sigh*?).
Seeking some clarity on how I'm supposed to get my character for old school to appear so I can launch the game and play.
