Game freezes when logging in

(RS3) The game freezes as soon as I log in and load into the game. Enter the world, character appears, and frozen, can't interact with anything. All animations are frozen too. Music still plays. If I clear my cache, the game doesn't freeze, but I have to wait for the cache to download again. Then I log out, close the game, open it again, game freezes. I have updated my computer, graphics drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the client, installed Steam version. Still freezes. This is getting tiring and I would probably stop playing, but I just redeemed a bond and don't want to waste it.

Playing on Windows 10, can give specs if necessary but the game plays fine when it doesn't freeze. No stuttering or anything, but I am on the lowest graphics settings (with textures compressed. I have turned off textures and it doesn't help with the freezing so I have them on.)

Hey Vella,

Certainly sounds like an annoying issue! It also sounds like you've done many checks for performance. It might help if you posted some of your PC specs, but you can just as easily verify you're meeting the minimum recommended requirements from this page: Recommended Specifications

I'll leave this page for you to look at too- if you go through all these tips & still aren't able to figure out a solution, there is a button for you to contact Jagex at the bottom & report your issue:

After entering my account information and pressing log in loading. I select the game world and log into my account, the screen freezes. I went to the Jagex Launcher Installer.exe folder and clicked on , then clicked on Repair.
(select this option if you're experiencing ploblems running the jagex laucher this will try to fix the problem. It work for me 6/12/2023
