Hey,

Since today, both the normal client and the jagex launcher client crash.
I log in, try to do something and the client crashes.
It always happens within the first minute of login in.

Anybody else having the same problem?
What can I do myself?

Hi there
Ent March
,

Have you gone through the Game crashes Support page to look for a solution? It may be more than just the client itself, and given that it is happening across multiple clients, it makes me suspect that there is an issue with your computer such as the graphics driver.

I suggest having a look through the provided support page first, and seeing how you go with this. If you fail to find a resolution from this, then it may be best to contact Jagex at the bottom of the page of the provided link.

A lot of players I know have had similar issues, including myself. Things really went downhill around the time of the 2022 Beach event.

Clearing the cache does nothing to help prevent these crashes, and my graphics driver is always kept up-to-date. Clearly, this is a Jagex issue.

My friends and I have been playing RS3 in Compatibility Mode for about the last six months. It lags compared to Normal Mode, but I have not crashed since switching to CM.

Not the most ideal situation, but it has been a workable solution for me. It's nice not to be concerned my game will instantly freeze just by teleporting to Falador.

Good luck.

Hey,
Thanks for this link. It's been helpfull. My graphics card is indeed out dated.
But I wonder, seeing the recommendations for both RS3 and OSRS are the same. Yet, all OSRS clients are unaffected so far. :(

It's been better, I could play more often now.

Yet it still crashed on daily basis. :( I could play.

Today, for the golden cape shards, I registrated for the Jagex thing. Since then, I'm having the same problems all over again as stated in my first post.

Still not fixed.
2 months and a week ago, I again updated the graphics. The client crashed sometimes, but I could play.
The last half hour, I tried to log in. everytime I'm able to log in, it crashes within the minute.

When will this be fixed?
20 years of playing, never did I have troubles. Since february of this year, I've had more game crashes and graphic drivers that I needed to update than all the years before combined.

What's wrong with this game client?
