i use runelite and i keep getting disconnected idk if its some1 messing with the servers or what when i get disconnected it says something about packet loss, this just started happening a few mins ago, what can i do? idk if its my isp or not, if it helps i play wirelessly on a gaming laptop that runs windows 11. i have no idea what packet loss is, i know a little about computers and dont know alot about computers sometimes, help? ty

what i could probably do is use an ethernet cord thats all i can think of.

edit: i have wired up my laptop to see if that helps so far no disconnects

Hello,

To help a little, since RuneLite is not an official client by Jagex, packet loss simply means that the data is being lost while in transit. (i.e. you lost internet briefly, or weak signal, etc). If a wired connection fixes it, I would take a look at your wireless network and ensure you have a strong signal, it could also be an issue with your laptops Wi-Fi card as well, does this happen only on your home Wi-Fi, or any Wi-Fi at all? Do you notice it randomly disconnect or load while watching something on YouTube for example? Hope it's fixed
