In Xubuntu,
$ dpkg -I runescape-launcher_2.2.11_amd64.deb
Depends: libsdl2-2.0-0, libc6, libssl1.1, libgcc1, zlib1g, libcap2-bin, libglib2.0-0, libpango-1.0-0, libcairo2, libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0, libpangocairo-1.0-0, libgtk2.0-0, libx11-6, libxxf86vm1, libsm6, libopengl0, libegl1
There you go. Though, people usually don't install the client by using Jagex's instructions. The trouble is that Jagex doesn't really keep their DEB package up to date so in the past the instructions have only worked on out of date distros because of the dependencies.
For a bit there was a Snap that worked nicely by James Carroll that was popular but it looks like that one isn't available anymore. There is a Flatpak still available but again I'm not sure how well that one is being maintained. It looks like Jagex is shifting people towards using the Jagex launcher rather than only the RuneScape launcher.
I've seen a guide for getting the Jagex Launcher running in Wine. Also, I've read of people launching the game using Steam and Proton.
