Jagex launcher not working mac

So today I decided to make a jagex account to try and make an additional account to play ironman alongside my main, prior to this i have used the one account for many years and had no issues with using the runelite launcher.

As soon as I transferred my account to become a jagex account, I am being forced to use the jagex launcher which does not work on my mac. I have it installed but it never opens. I have tried reinstalling multiple times, I have tried updating my mac software, I have tried following jagex's instructions on disabling the auto-proxy. Please help and give suggestions as I feel like I have been encouraged to use this jagex launcher and now I cant even play the game anymore and have been locked out of using runelite.

Hi Surfin Oz.

The latest update to the Jagex Launcher requires macOS version 10.13 or later.

If you have an earlier version of macOS, you will need to update for the Launcher to work, if you are able to on your hardware. Glad to be of service :) (Powered by GPP™ - Share and Enjoy!)
