While running the Jagex Launcher Installer I am getting this error:
"Failed to contact the alias service
Read operation
socket error"
I have restarted, redownloaded, and changed networks multiple times in the last week. I have tried disabling antivirus and firewall, I have run in compatibility mode for Win8 and Win7. Since this is a Windows 11 computer, I cannot install IE11 as it is blocked on all Win11 installs, but have set up edge to work for IE11 compatibility mode. I could get this to run on my old Windows 10 computer with the same exact firewall and antivirus system, but on my new Windows 11, this is not working. I am out of options as Jagex has not responded to me and Reddit had no further solutions, but others stated they were having the same issue.
