I don't know if this is the right place, I don't even know if there is a right place, but...
I just handed in some Christmas wrapping paper to Pete at the GE and exchanged it for a present from the sleigh. The present contained 100 springs (X2) and a bxp star. I'm a lvl 3 skiller so have lvl 1 def and am combat lvl 3. All good so far...
I used my bxp on Runecrafting bonus xp and got the Congrats message in the chat box that I had advanced 2 Def lvls and was now Combat lvl 4.
HOW? Why?
Everything from handing in the wrapping paper to getting the combat lvl congrats message was in the chatbox with nothing to suggest how I got the Def lvls. I don't get it.
I've spoken to Mandrith in Lumb to reset my Def and have to wait 7 days to make sure I want to do it, but really don't want to waste a reset if there's a known bug and it'll get fixed by Jagex. I've also sent a bug report to Jagex but recently I sent a ticket on my other account and waited a few weeks for a reply to that one and Mandrith only takes 7 days.
Is it a known bug? Is it even a bug? Anyone else have similar experience? I searched the forum but didn't have any luck finding anything similar to my issue.
Does this mean I can't open any more presents for fear of getting more combat lvls?
