I'm not sure how to describe my issue, but I will do my best.
A few days ago I wanted to try the new Launcher and also create a Jagex Account, not realizing the website had a starting point (oops! lol) and ended up accidentally creating a new account but I hasn't been put it on the Jagex Account or moved to the Launcher. Later that day, a friend of mine helped me merge my Wolf09Howl account and I was able to set everything up with no issues and have been playing on the Launcher and able to log into my Jagex Account since then. I wanted to delete the new account since I won't be using it. New account is not linked to my Jagex Account or the Launcher like I mentioned before. I made a thread looking for help a couple days ago and was only told upon deleting the new account using the 'Delete your personal data page' the new account would be deleted and my Wolf09Howl account would be safe, and that I have to be able to login the new account and may have to verify my email.
Having trouble getting into this new account due to multiple log-in attempts and end up having to wait to try again. I got in it before (forgot the old password already) and decided to name the account incase it had to be named before deleting it and also decided to verify my email so I could request a password change from account settings since I forgot what password was used before. Now I can't get in at all with the new password and have even made multiple guesses. Upon logging into my Jagex Account, the new account (that isn't linked to my Jagex Account) doesn't have its name changed. At this point I'm about to give up and leave the new account alone, but its annoying to see this account just sit there.
If you'd like the account deleted, you can submit a
request here.
Although be aware that you need to have access to said account first in order to login and submit that request. I'd leave the account alone but if you want, you'd need to submit a recovery request or a "Forgot Password" if you have access to the email and then regain access to said account in order to delete it.
Thank you! I'll still keep trying to access the account, but if I'm still failing I'll try the account recovery option (unless you meant I needed to be able to login to the account to also do a account recovery?
Thank you Terian for the help! I managed to do an account recover and put in a new password and was finally able to log into it to file a request to delete it. After a few clicks to pass an error upon submitting it finally went through and I got the email right away letting me know within 30 days the account would be gone.
