cant log in the game Thread is locked

hi im sorry if im not posting this in the right place but i cant log into the game with my username login. I get the prompt to enter my authentication and once i do i get the message saying to use my email address to log in but i have never done this for this account and in fact i am able to log in with my username just fine on the site and even post this thread on the forums. I just want to log in the game.

any help please

How long is it since you last logged in to the game?
Try disabling your Authenticator, then re-enabling it.
Instructions: Disable authenticator
Enable authenticator
Also, do a browser cache clear. Instructions: Clear browser cache

It sounds like there is a problem with your Authenticator but it does sound very odd.
