Hmm, it's unlikely but check and see if your email provider (gmail, yahoo, etc) is having some outage of some sort. If not, try the web browser email inbox instead of using an app, it could be the IMAP server having an issue. Other than that, you'd need to create a support ticket if you are unable to access said email and begin account recovery since the account is currently locked out and you can't access the email.
