Last week I saw advertisements from OSRS and I thought.. I'm going to play again. Friends of mine are back too. I tried to log in and unfortunately saw a ban (Hertog Kay).
I filled out the appeal. In my haste I forgot a lot of crucial information. Unfortunately, I could no longer edit the appeal after this. I wanted to add more because I was afraid that judgment would be made without being able to add feedback. The appeal was rejected today, so my feeling was unfortunately correct.
I believe the judgment was too harsh and my appeal is not being read. I can't even access the forums on the account in question.
You probably get a lot of messages like this and I get that there are rules. I played Runescape from the age of 11 and put in many hours after school. I am now 29.
I entered in the appeal that I don't know why the account was banned. That was sincere, because it's been over 4 years. When I thought more closely about this later in the day, it had to be the following:
It says the account was banned in 2019. I haven't logged in around 2019 because I moved and stoped playing (so my IP is also different). The ban is Macroing? I googled that later and it means botting.
It could be because in the end I used a bot for something really stupid. A skill I didn't even need. I know you care deeply about the players and the community. And botting is a big problem. If this was the reason for my ban, I deeply regret and will certainly never do so again.
But I do believe that the judgment was too strict and that the appeal is not being read. It is now 4 years later. I've trained 99.9% of this account myself and hope I get one last chance. Some of my friends are playing again too. It would be nice to pick up the thread again.
