Unlinked Google account

I stupidly unlinked my Google account from my main RuneScape account And now I cannot link them back together. In trying to do so it wants me to create a new account. Please tell me that I did not lose my account forever.

You need to be logged in on the RuneScape account in order to set up a link.
Are you saying when you try to log in, it wants you to create a new account?
I assume you are doing this from a phone?
You should be able to set up the link from a pc but your phone might not recognize it if it is pushing you towards a new account.

If you set up a link on a pc but your phone still won't recognize your account or if you are unable to use a pc and have to use a phone, you might have to go ahead and let your phone make you create a new account. THEN log out of this new account fully . By this I mean click all the buttons to log out, don't just swipe the window closed.
When you next log in, you should be given the option to get into other accounts.
