Emails only when?

I currently log in with a username so once the email only login comes in I won't be able to log in anymore. My question is lets say I don't make an email when the change comes and quit for 5 years will my account be deleted?

No, the account won't be deleted.
Your account will sit there, waiting for you to return and upgrade it.
Once Jagex make the upgraded logins necessary, your account will stay out of reach until you decide to upgrade it.
