Hi, A colleague has come back to rs after a 6 month hiatus due to work commitments.

He is of course in Lumbridge due to leaving himself in Max guild and loosing his Max cape due to Necromancy, , but all his money has gone from his coin pouch except for 3mil and his keepsake items he had on him are in his inventory. His expensive armour is still there, as is all his expensive items in his bank.

Any suggestions? were there any glitches I cant recall and his money could have got stored elsewhere? (its not in his bank) or has he been hacked?

hes also realised his bank pin has been taken off but everything in his bank is still there.


Looking more like hes been hacked. Any other suggestions?

And will rs be able to do anything?

Did he find the account locked when he returned or was he able to log straight in?
If he did not remove the Bank PIN but it has been removed, he needs to suspect a hijacker has been into the account.

Jagex does not replace items that have been stolen by a hijacker.
Lost item claims need to be done very soon after the items are lost as the trade record is lost after a couple of months.

He should check the 'Linked Accounts' tab in account management and unlink any linked account he sees. Click on 'Manage Steam' to check for a linked Steam account. If the only linked account is his own, then that account is not secure on its home website.

He should work through the instructions on the Security tips support page.
