Hello i was about to import a character on my jagex account when i noticed i have a recommended import but i can't see the username it could very possibly be mine but i can't be 100% sure is it safe to link and see has there been some kind of account stealing going on through account linking ?

A recommended import is another account registered on the same email address as the account you are linking.

Usually an unknown account like that is a very old, forgotten one or possibly one that was created some years ago by accident.
You need to log into an account you are about to link so, if you come across an unknown account, you would need to do a password reset on it to regain access and investigate it.
