i did the link to jagex account thing yesterday to try to get the shard for the cape, now i can only log into forums. the old launcher says i need to use the new one and the new one says my password is invalid. i tried changing the password yesterday and still says incorrect password.
ive uninstalled both and reinstalled just the new one same problem. restarted computer multiple times i just want to play my game anyone have a fix for this ?

You need to use the Jagex Launcher (not directly loading the client), and make certain that the launcher is fully updated. Once you have the Launcher ready, you will need to log in via your Jagex Account (which should have your RuneScape account(s) imported to it) and go from there. Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?

yes you need to use the jagex launcher.
and as adarajin has said you need to log in with your jagex account, not your character information. that was the whole point of the jagex account to not to do that anymore

Well just like OP ive tried using my updated info and it says im using wrong pass/email as well.

So something is wrong.
