If 'someone' is able to move together with any change you are making with your account, it does mean your credentials, changed or unchanged, are know by the other person using your account.
Or ... your device is easy accessible for others and your account 'open/ready' to be used to login without the need for any credentials as they already are put-in.

Do you use Jagex Launcher?

If you didn't create said account yourself, there's a possibility that the account creater uses said account as a mule-account.

--------------------------------

RuneScape Authenticator has to be used all the time, ... '
DO NOT set remember for 30 days
' ... the most secure option is to every time have to use a authenticator code for any piece of account feature RuneScape has.

Do not link your account to any third party as that might bypass all security measures there are for RuneScape.

Visit next page ... Security tips ... <- (link) in '
Jagex's Support Centre
' and read/walk through that page to secure your account/email/device fully.

if you still have doubts about your accounts control ... visit said link on top of that same page, where it says ...
Take action to keep your account out of the wrong hands. If your account is currently hijacked,
recover it here
.
and find support from Jagex/JMods to gain control over your account.

I recommend you check the 'Linked Accounts' tab in account management.
Unlink any accounts you see linked. Click on 'Manage Steam' to check for a linked Steam account. If the only linked account in there is your own, check the security of that linked account on its home website as it isn't secure.
Setting up a linked account is like putting a wedge in the back door. The hijacker can keep returning and returning while you secure everything else but haven't checked the wedged open back door.

Hey, Tmx WC.

If you want to see if they are any linked accounts that were not added by you, as suggested by Malua above, please follow the steps below and appropriately remove them if they are not recognized:

1. Go to the yellow/orange "
My Account
" or "Account" link at the top right corner of your computer screen:

2. Once there, head to "Linked Accounts" and click on it:

3. You will be presented with the image below. If you don't recognize any of the linked accounts, remove them. If you do, ensure that they are completely secured by following the instructions on the Security tips Support page for Google's 2-Step Verification; Apple's two-factor authentication; or Steam Guard:

4. Since I don't have any linked accounts with Facebook, Apple or Google, I'm not presented with the "Unlink" button (I can only see the "Link" button to add them); however, to check for either Amazon or Steam, you'd have to click on "Manage Amazon" or "Manage Steam" to see if there are any linked accounts. You'd then follow the instructions above to either remove them completely or to make sure they are completely secured.
