Hello,

I was told by someone claiming to be the owner or ceo of Runescape that I was not allowed to use their server to play the game. My account is unbanned and I never received any official communication from Jagex in my email inbox that I am aware of justifying a ban.

Can anyone on Jagex staff confirm if I am actually not allowed to play? There is no relevant category in the Support Centre for submitting a ticket that I could find.

I appreciate any confirmation or denial of a ban.

Check the 'Account Status' tab and the 'Messages' tab in the affected account.
The 'Account Status' tab will show a record of offences. The 'Messages' tab will show any official messages to you during the past three months.

If you can log into the game on the account, then you are allowed to play.
If Jagex didn't want the account in-game, they would ban it, freeze it or disable it.

How were you communicated with because this sounds very odd.

The CEO of RuneScape will not contact you or communicate with you, someone is trying to scam/phishing you. At least this isn't an official communication from Jagex/JMods.

Verbal ban = mute ... If you are muted you still are able to play RuneScape.

These are all pages to support your doubts to make sure you are well protected against future attacks.

Jagex/JMods will never brag about their jobs nor positions, that's why it's sounding phishy.
