Poll 78 Updates & More

Great to see changes from Poll 78, even if the catalytic tiara bug wasn't technically part of the poll and should be fixed.
Unfortunately I find myself echoing the same comments as last week about the fairy rings and welcome screen.
Whilst I appreciate the explanation behind why it's hard to change a fairy rings click area, why did you force through a graphical change to this iconic part of the game? I thought updating proper old school graphics was against the polling charter.
Similar with the welcome screen. Why force this through? I used the older, more classic screen. I appreciate you may want to add things to it but (I'd hope) most players that using the that version are more plugged into the game, vote in polls and are aware of things.
I'd probably feel a little different if you were going to add a lobby but that still needs a poll as it's completely different to the old school log in flow.
Don't throw away almost a decade of community discussions and polls now. RIP Forums
Finally we have signatures in the surprise forum update. I'm Lewis, I play Old School & I've been playing since 2005.

The community consultation being done on what was supposed to be a fairly simple QOL fix for mobile players really shows how dedicated you guys are to the cause of hearing us out. I appreciate the explanation to the tech issues behind the fairy rings and I guess if this is how it needs to be done then you have my full support.

As for the login screen, the blog does specify that its mostly an idea at this point and I have no doubt there'd be further consultation with us once they get onto that a bit more. But yes I do think that this should be polled.

I understand what they want to achieve may be technically tricky with the older graphics but in my opinion it shows a lack of dedication to the old school brand. It's hard to argue the butterflies are a number one priority to go but it's frustrating there is no conversation around iconic things like this and the fact it keeps happening shows they don't value the communities opinions on quintessentially old school things.

Not quite right. This week they forced the newer version of the login screen and removed the old school screen, with the idea that potentially they may add a few new features as they don't want to maintain two versions of the screen.
As I developer I understand the pain of having to maintain two versions of something however as a player it's frustrating that my choice of login screen is being taken away from me for the possibility of new ways to access features that I already use. RIP Forums

I understand what they want to achieve may be technically tricky with the older graphics but in my opinion it shows a lack of dedication to the old school brand.
