THE COMPETITION
1.1 We’re looking for a short story about that features inspiration from the Kharadian Desert and/or the Tombs of Amascut raid from Old School RuneScape!
1.2 The promoter and organiser of this competition is Jagex Limited of 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA ("Jagex", “us”,” or “we”). These terms and conditions govern the legal relationship between Jagex and you (referred to in these terms and conditions as “you”, or “entrant”) in relation to the competition.
1.3 Please read these terms and conditions carefully, and in particular clauses 6.2, 10.1 and 10.2 regarding how we will handle your personal data in relation to the competition.
1.4 All information detailed on any of Jagex websites (including but not limited to jagex.com, www.runescape.com and www.oldschool.runescape.com, hereafter referred to as “Jagex Websites”), digital platforms, games or apps or published in any of our newsletters in relation to the entry requirements for this competition form part of these terms. 2 HOW TO ENTER

2.2 The competition will run from 13:00 BST on 15 July 2022 (the “Opening Date”) to 23:59 BST on 24 July 2022 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
2.3 All competition entries must be received by Jagex by no later than 23:59 BST on the Closing Date. All competition entries received by us after the Closing Date (whether or not they were sent before) will be void and will not be entered into this competition.
2.4 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition and there is no charge to register for use of a Jagex Website.
2.5 All entries must be accompanied by your name, address, either a telephone number or email address.
2.6 Jagex will not accept:

5.4 The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

6 CONTACTING THE WINNER
6.1 We will notify the winner as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date using the contact details provided in the entry. Jagex will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
6.2 Jagex must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Jagex will publish the surname and country of major prize winners (and if applicable, their winning entries) on a Jagex Website on 8 August 2022 ("Announcement Date").

9.4 You are not entitled to any fees for granting the license and you are not entitled to terminate it unless we agree in writing.
9.5 If your entry contains photographs or video images of people, you must ensure that you inform them that you intend to use the material for the purposes of this competition and obtain their consent.
9.6 We may ask you for evidence of any such consent and reserve the right to disqualify your entry if you are unable to provide it or if we have doubts about its adequacy.
10 DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
10.1 We will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and our privacy policy . See also 6.2, with regard to the announcement of winners.
10.2 Entrants who do not want their surname and county included on the list of winners referred to in clause 6.2 being published or made available, you must notify us within a reasonable period of time before the Closing Date of this competition by emailing [email protected] or writing to: Competitions Team, Jagex Limited, 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA. In such circumstances, Jagex must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. Please see our privacy policy for further information regarding this.
10.3 The winner of this competition may be asked to participate in publicity.

11.2 The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms and conditions, although if you are a resident elsewhere you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the law of that country.
11.3 Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13 GENERAL
13.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Jagex may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
13.2 Jagex reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so, including:
13.2.1 for reasons outside of its control, including if any law or regulation is inconsistent with these terms or where any law or regulation makes Jagex’s performance of these terms impossible, unlawful, illegal or unethical; or
13.2.2 where any other unforeseen or unexpected event that cannot be reasonably anticipated or controlled, affects the fairness and/or integrity of the Competition (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud, cheating, any computer virus, bug, or any catastrophic event).
