Finally it's coming out! Although there are 2 glaring issues with this current proposal.

First the Node.
The Node should be a small area for GIMs to gather and invite each other.
This Node area looks ridiculously big for that. There is no need for boars, ores and mores. In fact the entire island seems superfluous and clutters up the map. You should move it to the empty space in the south end of tutorial island.
Also the portal to the Node looks incredibly out of place, especially in Lumbridge. You should add a small boat by the church instead.

Second the complexity
GIM should be about having an ironman group with friends. Features like prestige and content restricted items are not what I expect from this gamemode. These kind of features are the exact rubbish that an overengineered design generates. Keep it simple and cut them. RIP Forums :(

Wildy updates when? Multi PKers starving out here due to lack of updates.

It then snowballs into a larger issue: Multi PKers are bored so they're more likely to kill pvmers/clue scrollers --> pvmers/clue scrollers cry that they're being killed in a pvp area. Give more people a reason to go to the wilderness --> happier pkers --> eventually happier pvmers/clue scrollers.

I do not see the point in implementing Group Ultimate Ironman in the future. Combine that new variant with all the prestige mechanics, and it sounds like it would be a huge headache to develop, and in the end all that will end up being accomplished is a weaker Ultimate Ironman mode where people use alts to store their stuff.

If alternatives of Ultimate Ironman are to be developed, it would be much easier and much more interesting to develop Hardcore Ultimate Ironman.

As for the blog, the reason people kept asking for the date is because you had headers with "What, Why, and How"

Of course people are gonna ask "When" after you have headers like that! Glad it's coming soon though.

I want to play Group Ironman mode with friends on October 6th.

I've also seen issues raised by certain groups in the community which could possibly be addressed by Jagex.



- Group 1: The PvP Community

The DMM tournament could be redone with a second batch of prizes; all winners from the first tournament should receive their prizes despite the lag issues. Alternatively a full explanation and apology could be given with details as to how this situation would be prevented in the future.

The pending PvP integrity changes should be implemented into the game in the next two weeks.

A permanent content development team should be dedicated to PvP updates. There's a video titled "This is How Jagex Can Save PVP & The Wilderness" by Abyss which has a lot of good suggestions to truly "revive the wilderness". Also I think that a game-mode like EVScape's Battle Royale would be exciting to play if officially developed.



- Group 2: Ironman Community

Some Ironmen feel that the "Ironman" title is being devalued with the addition of "Group Ironman" because "Ironmen stand Alone" and "Group Ironman is a significantly easier game-mode". To solve this issue it could simply be renamed to "Group Mode".



- Group 3: Casual Players

Some people just want to "play Group Ironman with the boys". The Prestige system currently suggested is off-putting to some casual players. A poll could be done to work out if the majority of players would prefer to have no Individual Prestige and/or Group Prestige system at all.

There are also concerns about the 5 player group size. An option could be given to allow 6+ player groups called something like "Clanman Mode". As to not devalue the 2-5 player groups they would only appear on the regular Hi-scores and would have a different icon from the 2-5 player groups.

- Group 4: Main Accounts

There has been a content drought in the main game over the past year. A statement should be made in regards to future plans for content in the main game; as multiple people believe that less development time should be spend on game-modes like Leagues, DMM & GIM whilst the main game is lacking in consistent updates.



Additional concerns:

- Some people don't like the idea of HCGIM groups sharing a pool of lives. It could be put to a poll to see which option is more popular. 1. Shared lives; or 2. One life each, and if you die you're removed from the group and made into a normal account.

- Some people want Group Ironman to be released after Leagues III finishes due to concerns that groups will die out whilst Leagues III is taking place.

I agree with the last point you made about leagues. the timing for the group iron release seems off.

personally i don't like the idea of the prestige system at all.

I already have a an ironman account and restarting again is out of the picture for me and my friend due to our lives being busy now a days. With the addition of new group ironman coming out in October it would be an awesome addition if you could group up existing ironman characters. I don't care about leaderboards just want to play with my friend without restarting. This would allow me and my friend to have a much more enjoyable time playing the game with the few hours we have in a day to play together. Yes this would cost them their leaderboard status in the group they are in but I imagine their will be a fair few that will want to downgrade and play with their friends.

This wouldn't effect others who wish to play the game mode competitively. It would just give existing players the option at the cost of them losing leaderboard status. I really hope that the people of Runescape consider this since it would have no effect on their account.
