The Music Cape(T) Requirements
The trimmed music cape will require that players not only unlocking every music track, including holiday tracks but will also require players to have unlocked both the Achievement Diary(t) and the quest cape(t).
Many of you have suggested that the music cape (t) be acquired once a player has a quest cape as well as unlocking all tracks but this would then make the music cape the easiest trimmed cape in game to acquire. I don’t want to do this because it devalues the effort put in by players in the past.
I considered making it possible for players to acquire a trimmed music cape if they have a quest cape and one skill cape or just two skill capes but music acquisition is not a skill and I wouldn’t want the music cape to be visually associated with players who have taken their time to get a trimmed skill cape.
Associating the music cape with both the Achievement Diary cape (t) and the quest cape (t) seems to be the most appropriate option. It also makes sense as to get both of these capes your must have the other.
Some people have also expressed concern that they might have to wait an entire year to unlock all holiday tracks. The music cape (t) should not be just another cape for your rack, it’s a cape for music aficionados who have gone the extra mile to sample all Old School’s music tracks because they enjoy collecting. For everybody else, there’s the regular music cape which comes with the air guitar emote which first sparked this conversation; here’s some screenshots of the both capes and the music hood in game which has a black lining to set it aside from the quest point hood and chime with your 3rd age melee just that little bit more, enjoy!
