The following changes have been made to Bounty Hunter:

  • ALL items in the Bounty Hunter rewards shop are now 3x their base price .
  • If you are killed by your target, you must wait 6 minutes before being assigned a new target
  • If you are killed by a rogue, you must wait 3 minutes before being assigned a target.
  • You cannot trade your target.
  • Your chance of receiving an emblem is now based on the combat level of your target.
  • Your grace period no longer resets to 2 minutes the moment you step inside the wilderness.

We will be closely monitoring the use of Bounty Hunter and will make further changes if needed.

So if my target kills me I have to wait 6 minutes before I can get another target?

That's kind of dumb

I don't think that would stop people from selling their deaths, just annoy people trying to play properly

People that are actually trying to PK will have to re-gear and maybe grab their untradeables from where they died before needing a new target. Having a 6 minute timer should barely impact legitimate PKers but works as a nice barrier for people trying to boost.

After grabbing untradeables and fully re-gearing, a legitimate PKer would not be waiting long at all to get a target.

Trading should be removed entirely on the BH world if you want to strike a death blow to farming of the rewards.

Trading on a BH world is key for people selling supplies and those looking for supplies. We can, and will, find a more elegant solution than cutting off all forms of trade.

This is a start, thanks.

Quite scary how massive unbalanced things like this can slip through the nets...

With more and more RS3 updates it seems like the developers don't actually play the game so they don't pick up on methods of abuse. Not good to be that disconnected from the game you develop!
