Yup i got scammed.

I thought the prices where listed in order, the most desirable on top and the least desireable on the bottom.

I do collect protean items and training dummys for fun.
At the top was a "variety pack" and at 2nd there was 1000! Protean hides.
I really wanted the hides since 1k is a huge amount but since the variety pack was at the top i thought that it would give at least a similar amount of protean items/combat dummys.

This however was not the case to my disapoitment.
The variety pack did contain:
1 small protean pack,2 protean power ups and 3 combat training dummys (yes there is the 123 again lol).

How on earth are 1 small protean pack,2 protean power ups and 3 combat training dummys more valuable then 1000! protean hides,i dont see it.

Is it the power ups that are really valuable? They are kinda rare and i dont have many but is the variety pack in the end really better then the 1k hides?>

thank you for posting this, as i was just about to pick variety pack.

i think the variety pack isn't a good prize against 1000 protean items and instead offer it a dummy training pack instead.

It really is a matter of user preferences. Some players definitely value agility/hunter/combat xp over xp from protean packs.

Yeah, like Dilbert said, it really does come down to preferences.

I've noticed when I have a choice between three different prizes, sometimes the one I consider to be the best for me might be the prize shown in the top slot, but other times it's what is in the middle or bottom slot. Very rarely do I have a tough time deciding between two great prizes. Often, I'll get a poor prize, a decent prize, and a good prize. It's up to me to choose the best one for me. As the OP's story shows, the default (top) choice is not often the best option.

You can buy XP. You can't buy experience.
"...From The 'Scape" is very nearly here.
