There is a current daily cap for treasure hunter oddment items. I completely understand the daily cap as it prevents future abuse of the mechanic. I believe people were spending oddments on keys that were on sale and then stacking up oddments with almost zero net loss then using the obtained oddments on lamps/stars—so completely understandable that a cap
somewhere
is needed.
My suggestion is to keep the daily cap of oddment keys (30) since that is the primary source to obtain an absurd amount of oddments if there is a future mechanical flaw. However, there should be less focus on stars/lamps. I agree that it probably shouldn’t hold unlimited purchase power but the (30) daily cap is extreme.
Most skills in RS3 have an AFK option and they have a ridiculous amount of XP gain through it. I average about 400,000 XP from 30 prismatic lamps. You could obtain almost the same amount of XP (or more) through 1 hour of AFK training. Yet, I have to wait 24 hours to obtain another 30 lamps.
It shouldn’t hold unlimited purchase power
—but can we at least increase the daily limit?
Increase base lamp daily purchase to 100 and add lamps based on an account creation time? Like 10 lamps for every year. For example, Account A has been created for 3 years therefore they could purchase 130 lamps a day. Account B has been created for 15 years so they could purchase 250 lamps a day.
I’m pretty sure nearly everyone agrees that a daily cap is needed but that 30 is just extreme.
