Hello everyone, how are you? i personally think it would be a great idea to see old tokens and tokens above a certain price point to be re released for multiple reasons.

i feel like tokens shouldn't cost billions of coins to unlock for example the gem sack, gem bag, zombie walk and assassin walk are currently out of the and for some of those tokens the prices are absolutely astonishingly high due to lots of people hoarding, manipulating, and market control of top richest players. i see tokens as a fun cosmetic to have when you have some extra spare cash laying around to show to your friend or chill at the G.E. but now some of those tokens are impossible to get if u don't pay at least 5 billion coins for them and it just doesn't seem right. what i think should happen is the following.

also another thing to note tokens shouldn't have a 100 buy limit like some tokens do which are used to heavily manipulate.

and i think for a nice rule of thumb any token above 500m should be re released.

1. permanent rotating token shop where every week there's a new set of random tokens any token. which can either be purchasable trough oddments or runecoins. buying these tokens will automatically unlock the override so people cant buy them for free and easy and easy money and is just for people who like the looks of override

2. a new treasure hunter promo? called time capsules. when the event is active u get token shards while skilling or any activity. which u can convert to a specific token keys which u can use those keys to get acces to old promotions which aren't active or just any treasure hunter promo at all.

3. just re introduce old promotions, simple as that.

and about event related tokens like spring fayre? just bring em back everyone loves em!

on the side note this is my first time ever making a post like this. don't be too harsh on me also please feel free to discuss anything or let your thoughts be heard in the comments :D

and ps: you're all wonderful people :P

Hey Crispy,

Neat thread. :)

I really like ideas #1, and #2 since they provide a tangible system where players can gain shards, and the "rotating token shop" sounds like a cool idea. The rotating token shop, for the sake of simplicity can focus around certain themes; i.e pets one week, cosmetics of a particular outfit another, and so forth. Both of these suggestions in my opinion provide a viable and tangible way for players to be able to eventually unlock cosmetics they desire over time. This would also increase the utility of oddments.

I'm not a fan of #3, because from my perspective Jagex has been very selective in the tokens that they've reintroduced. We've seen some tokens oversaturated, like rainbow tokens for example with some around the 100k-300k price range. Then, we have seen tokens like zombie walk and the gem sack tokens which are trading at 4B+ price points. Why is Jagex reintroducing some tokens regularly, and not others? My fear of suggestion #3 is we've already seen selective reintroduction of tokens. I prefer a more logical, and somewhat predictable system.

Thanks for the respond <3 and yes, maybe i should've thought more about option more but it was also due to having no characters available after writing the post. and thinking about it again you're right. Jagex seems to have been fairly inconsistent with that.
