Rainbow's End Multiplier Reset

I'm just really saddened that the multipliers were reset.
It took me a very long time and large sum of keys to reach that 8x, literally during the last Rainbow's End.
It was awesome to have finally unlocked it, and I was under the impression that I could continue to benefit from that occasional 8x multiplier.
And now they've reset the whole thing.

Is anyone else upset about this or is it just me?

Is it too much to ask for this multiplier not to be reset again in the future?

Yes, this happened to me a few times earlier too, it takes soo much efford to unlock it all and then they just reset it.

It seems like only when new items are added, they reset the multipliers.

I guess Jagex felt we weren't buying enough keys lately, and wanted to wring yet more money out of (what remains of) the player base.

I figured it was because of the new items. I only speak for myself when I say this, but I am in no way encouraged to buy keys to unlock the multipliers all over again.
I have plenty of keys saved up right now, and I'm just gonna save them for a different promotion.
