Lost 2 Super rare items!?

I got my first ever Super Rare (Purple) drop ever from Treasure hunter. All of the items it tried to give me were a Shield, a Weapon, and another Shield (I didn't have the levels to use any of them), but the chest was trying to give me x3 items. I didn't want any of them but I had to pick one, and it only gave me one and not three!? I feel really sour that I got a x3 reward and it had to be wasted :( I didn't even want any of those items because I don't even have the levels to use them, but it didn't let me pick otherwise. I recently bought a lot of keys too so it just feels like a waste. Why would treasure hunter force me to pick something I am not levelled to use, waste my x3 rewards, and not let me get something usable for a super rare drop. Feeling really bummed out :( I know it's meant to be random, but at least having something I could get even a minor benefit from would have been nice.

It sounds like you won a Lucky chaotic item.
Players can only keep 1 of each piece, the rest is converted to oddments if I remember right. Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

I suppose you could consider it a carrot on a stick to encourage you to level up enough to use it.

That seems to be the methodology of a lot of their treasure hunter rewards, especially for free to play players. They are constantly given items they can't use as a free player, encouraging them to buy members so they could use it.

Not exactly the same but similar as I see it.

But yeah on the note of lucky items, most of us see them as a waste. They can't be augmented, which is a real downer once you unlock invention. As such, the most you'll generally see is people using keepsake keys to benefit from the unique looks of lucky items. Sadly, it's not that rare anymore, so it's not much of a prestige item. Everyone is too lucky!
