The rewards we get from red gems are starting to annoy me.
From white, yellow and orange I always get some useful XP boosting stuff like stars, lamps, proteans etc., but from red gems, which are supposed to be better, I mostly get some appearance only items that are garbage, and only worth destroying.

This is a game about leveling up, where people go for the most XP giving stuff. That is what I want, XP. What do I care about walking around with a pink unicorn plushie or wearing ramokee outfit? It is stupid.

I am about to block all of the red gems with hearts of ice, because then I might actually get something useful every time.

Yes, there always is other items besides stars, lamps and other xp/bonus xp providing materials.

Red gems just mean that those are rarer/more quantity of.


so yea if you don't want the option to obtain cosmetics then every key used you'll have to go to the hearts of ice section and there should be a Category on the bottom row that is labeled "Cosmetic items" that you can choose to block, and other non xp/bonus xp item options to block also.

For what its worth, I am of the opposite opinion.

I discard every star/lamp and only keep cosmetics.

To me, a red prize with something new to wear is much more interesting than 30k more xp.

I get that when you see the higher rarity prize you think to yourself, "oh boy it's gonna be something good", but you could also consider that for someone like me, it's quite rare for me to get the type of drop I actually want as most drops are white/yellow and are stars/lamps, whereas for you, the majority of drops are exactly what you are after and it's only the odd one which has something you don't want.

You're free to dislike the cosmetic aspect of the game all you want to but a lot of us like cosmetics as much or more than the grindy part of the game.
