A Summer for Fansites

Well I know you all are looking forward to an amazing Summer, as this Summer is going to be jammed pack with amazing Quest's, a world event, and all the bonus experience points to go around. But while we are all looking forward to that I am just curious what some Fansites have planned for the Summer and also curious if Jagex plans to do some partnership with some fansites as far as teaser images, prizes to tweet out or help with the hype.

I know I am really look forward to this Summer because it brings me more closer to one of my biggest goals for my Fansite, and a few projects I have in the works is going to make this Summer a good time to relax in the Lumbridge Crater because "Life's a beach". Either way I look forward to the new things in the Summer and hope for a good Summer for all the fansites in our Community.

With that being said what do you have planned for the Summer?

Jagex:

Is there any plans to partner up with some Fansites and do a few Contests, or even build up hype? (Although there is already enough hype ^.^)

Yeah I am fully aware, but I am staying positive that this forums will still be useful for all. I still have the same thinking before we got a new forums that it will be useful and a good way to chat with many fansite leaders. I am not giving up up on this forums and on the fansite community I joined.

Edit: Thank you for your honesty, hope that is a positive thing that I use this forums.

Hey! :)

Maybe you don't know me really, so let me introduce myself first. My name is Kweet Vaniks (as you probably saw already. :P ) and I'm an events organizer from the Dutch fansite Lunagang. I'm always looking forward to partner up with other fansites to do certain events. Currently we have nothing planned for the summer, we have some ideas, but nothing has been brought to reality just yet. Maybe it is possible to host an fansite vs fansite skill event, or something like that? :)

Aloha Kweet I seen you around the fansite forums and read a few posts that you made :) . So I have a good idea about you but I really look forward to seeing what you have planned for Lunagang as I do enjoy visiting the site. But yes the fansite vs fansite is not a bad idea something I have been planning to do but have not worked out a good schedule for it.

But any fansite team ups are always amazing.

As I mentioned, we haven't created a single event for the summer, it's WIP. I think it'd be smart if we check out if there are any other fansites available/wanting to join us so we can gather together once (Skype?) and discuss certain things. For an example: we could discuss certain ideas for events. ^^

That can be a amazing idea especially since Tuska is on her way a lot of fansite team ups can come from it. Sadly I am not always active on Skype because it is on my 2nd laptop not my main one and I keep my main one for gaming related stuff only. But if you wish to add me when I do pop on it is DieHunted, I may be on it during the summer since I do a lot of coding and graphics related things on the laptop.

But we can still add some ideas on this thread :D .

Hey! Sorry for my late answer, been quite busy on signing up for my new school education in the past couple of days. :P

Anyhow, I have noticed that other fansites do not seem interested just yet since no other fansites have replied to this topic, yet. Have you gotten any ideas on what events we could do together? We could host for example things like a skilling event, minigames and many other things, to keep in mind we could use the fansite versus fansite idea I've mentioned before in this topic. :)

PS: I have sended you a friend request on Skype anyway, it could maybe be useful for in the future. ^^

Ohh it is fine I am also registering for my fall classes for my Business degree, so I understand how busy that can be.

As far as other fansites as "Skiller" said I am kinda the only one that uses this forums beside you lol, so I can't speak on behalf of other fansites but I am pretty sure their focus is on their fansite which mines should be as well but I am always curious what is going on with other fansites. But I do want to do something with other fansites, I am not sure if I can bring a lot of people since my site is small but I think the Tuska World event can be a option, or maybe some heist which is something I want to do with some fansites.

I also would like to do a PVM, like one fansite take a faction and we go to god wars dungeon.

On anther note I will make sure to add you when I am on my 2nd laptop, as I have been doing some coding work and working on a graphics design for my fansite. I have so much work to do I can't wait to see how it goes in the future.
