Is there an API for removing/adding friends on an account? I am one of the admins/mods of the reddit community for oldschool, and we have multiple clan chats due to a large demand. We have an issue with overcrowding, and need a way to automatically add/remove friends.

I would really prefer to use an API that allowed me to auth to an account and remove/add friends, rather than trying to scrape the data out of the web app and sending requests that way.

Does such an API exist? If not, could it be provided?

I need to check some specific details with the Companion App team but such an API function does not currently exist and it is unlikely to be a feature we would look to develop given the auth requirements it would need, but I'll chat to the team and get an answer for you.

Thanks - even if an API cannot be provided, some information on how the companion web app works in terms of what requests to send to login / remove/add friends would be highly appreciated so I don't need to spend forever figuring it out via page scraping.

Unfortunately, there is no external API in place for what you'd like.

The companion app is still receiving major development with other more pressing elements and sections of functionality currently taking precedence over an API for such functionality.

The web app is also very securely wrapped to it's own and I imagine that its been designed and implemented like that intentionally, so custom url requests for such functionality are not going to work (You'll just be asked to log in again). @jagexboko #justblameboko #fsdfs

I like Cheeesy's idea ^_^ . Hopefully within the near future you guys could add something similar to it. Even though I play RuneScape on a laptop, I still cannot take it EVERYWHERE , haha. The app will be one of the first things I download as soon as I can upgrade to a new phone next month! Good work, gentlemen and gentleladies.
