I just found this thread in the OSRS forums: Active Twitch Channels

It looks like the thread was intended for listing some popular player-run OSRS livestream channels. But as far as I can tell, the thread is blank. If I load it on Chrome, all I see is a Twitch logo. If I load it on IE, the page just flickers :O

I think it's a great idea for Jagex to advertise player Twitch channels on the forums, and I'd like to raise this possibility. Some things to discuss:

- Would you want your Twitch channel advertised on the official forums?
- Which Twitch channels do you think Jagex should mention in the OSRS thread?
- Should Jagex create a similar thread, listing some popular RS3 twitch channels?
- If so, which ones?

That specific thread did work, but I believe Twitch changed their API. I would however assume that the upcoming Twitch-integration will cover most of the publicity-problems some of the new streamers have. It would be interesting to have a dedicated thread though; I'd just say arrange the channels per viewers.

Ah, I didn't see the thread when it was working. :P Maybe it could be updated then?

I'm also looking forward to the Twitch integration update, although I still think having a couple of threads on the official forums to advertise popular Twitch channels is a good idea. The one for RS3 Twitch channels could be in the Community Home section.

The other benefit of advertising Twitch channels on the forums themselves, is that it would allow people to mention/discuss those unofficial twitch channels on the forums. I don't think this is possible currently because of the website advertising rule. But any links posted by Jagex are "whitelisted," so to speak.

There are definitely people out there looking for interesting content to liven up their gameplay. This thread got me thinking about this. Having your Twitch channel advertised on the official forums would be a nice benefit of being part of the VIP Video Program (assuming you want it to be, of course).
