help! copyrighted 'runescape'

Hello, i don't know about anyone else but i've had a few of my videos copyright flagged by 'jagex ltd - runescape' content.

Now i thought we could use video footage as long as it was commented/modified on by fair usage laws. I also thought we had permission to from jagex themselves. Am i the only one who's had their videos slapped down by youtubes copyright bot?

Its not all my videos just a select few, anyone have some good advice? i don't particularly want to counter the claim if it means losing those videos since i can't remake them for a long time (they're quest guides, will require a new account etc etc)

Is there a foolproof way of getting rid of the claim so i can claim it? or am i just boned until i can make another batch of guides to overwrite them?

I'm fairly sure that Jagex is able to whitelist your YouTube channel so you can monetize your videos without having to worry about copyright stuff. Unfortunately then I'm not sure which email to use as silentc0re isn't with us any longer. Hopefully someone else know?

I had a similar problem a couple months ago where all of the sudden YouTube asked to see more information on some of my videos. I provided the information, but I am still waiting for them to be monetized again. Which sucks.

I had this problem awhile ago, still have that problem on some of my videos too.

I have maybe around 8-10 videos of mine that have been fully blocked by youtube due to copyrights and can no longer be monetized due to the claim by Jagex Ltd on them. When I hover my cursor over the videos it clearly says "monetization rejected" and there's no way of getting that off.

The only solution that I came to was emailing [email protected], and getting their direct permission to use RuneScape content created videos for monetization. I used their reply and sent that to Youtube and got new videos that I would uploaded, approved for copyright.

So just email [email protected], ask for their permission, wait for a reply (took them less than a day) screen shot it (make sure you get the email address in the screenshot) and send it to youtube regarding the videos that are copyrighted.
