Quit in late 2016, sometimes I pop back in to see how my favourite NPCs are doing. What's going on these days? I hear we're focusing on Xautak and the Queen of Ashes (insert joke about Dany being the Queen of Ashes here) what's up with them?

How's archaeology impacting lore?

I hear we're gonna be getting some new quests? An Azzanadra quest? That could go either way, could be amazing or it could be shit.

What else is new after Children of Mah?
We will make the Zarosian Empire great again.

You should play Sliske's Endgame and Desperate Times. Those two quests have advanced the story the most since the time you quit..
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.

Yeah, endgame and desperate times are probably the most central to the story. If you're after all the new lore though there's some books worth collecting.

The three elite dungeons have some pretty comprehensive lore books to collect pages for one at a time, and there's 5 pretty nifty lore books to collect from the sophanem slayer dungeon too. The former are in the Curse of the Black Stone quest and tell a bit about Xau-tak indirectly, and the latter hints at the Magister's house on Teragard and his antagonism toward saradomin. Not sure if Jagex will develop this story any further, but there's a lot they could do with it.

I hear Endgame sucks.

It's like the Jmods who wrote it when to the D&D school of writing.

All I can say is that there were subverted expectations, subverted expectations everywhere. And I don't mean they do it like GRRM. When GRRM does it it's shocking but it makes sense. When he killed off Ned Stark, it's shocking, because as the main character you expect him to live, but when you look back at the idiotic decisions he made, it makes sense. When D&D do it, there's no foreshadowing and they'll pull a shocking twist just to have a shocking twist.

That's Endgame in a nutshell.

You thought Zaros was gonna become an Elder to stop the Elders? Fuck you, now Jas is telling him to fuck off and that he'll never be an elder. You thought Zaros was back? Fuck you, now Icthlarin the furfag's telling him how he's gonna die. You thought Azzanadra was the best mahjarrat ever? Fuck you, we have a scene of him being a douche to Moia for no reason. You thought you killed Sliske once and for all? Fuck you, he puts a bit of himself in you, 'cause we needed a hook for a cheap, cashgrab sequel.

The whole quest was a giant shit on the Zarosians. His entire faction goal's rendered pointless 'cause of that bitch Jas. It's like Jagex has something against Zaros personally.

All in all, Endgame should be declared non-canon, like Salt in the Wound.

Eh... I thought the dialogue was amazing and gave the opportunity to delve into lore more than any other quest. I liked it personally. Like a lot.
