KHARID-ET - from the main page archeology article;

"It was at the fortress of Kharid-Et that the Mahjarrat first encountered Zaros and chose to join the cause of chaos."

ummmm zamorak is the force of chaos, zaros is the force of order,
its literally the reason zamorak revolted against zaros and "killed" him

either jagex have got the name wrong (but cant be the place the mahjarrat first meet zammy because zammy is a mahjarrat) or the person who wrote this has no idea about runescape lore??

Or... the text was written by a Menaphite, whose land Zaros was invading...

Thus causing... get this... CHAOS.

So, in case you haven't realised, a Menaphite would see Zaros as a force of Chaos, due to his invasion of the Kharidian Desert (And Kharid-Et, which was taken over).

A god's alignment doesn't mean jack when they're invading your home. Saradomin's the god of Order, but he's certainly caused a heck of a lot of chaos in his time hasn't he?

so, in case you hadnt realised, this is an advertising piece written by a jagex employee for players.

sure all the gods cause chaos, but chaos isnt their cause

stop trying to twist things to make yourself sound clever when jagex obviously just made a mistake lol

Ahtelhrax has a good point and you are overreacting to it, but yeah... things passed through Jagex advertising get all mixed up for some horrible reason leading to lorefail, even if it is advertising targeted at current players. It doesn't help that the concept artists usually are out of the loop in lore as well.

Yes I am still upset that the promotional material for the Menaphos update mislabeled concept art of Amascut hover-handing the Kharid-ib. The promotional materials were claiming that she was Leela! And Leela at no time possessed the Kharid-ib and she hardly featured in the Menaphos quests.

Is Amascut not good enough for you, advertising department? Why does this keep happening to Kharidian lore?
Humility is self-destruction, pride is the destruction of all else. And He said, "
Let there be light.
"
And then there were none .

This right here is so stupid, it woke the last prophet of Saradomin from his 1000-year rest.

RuneScape lore is about perspective, in case you hadn't realized.

Zaros, a god of CONTROL -- not order -- caused a civilization-wide upheaval with the Menaphites when he invaded their lands. The chaos he unleashed on the continent reduced it to a wasteland, not unlike Zamorak's playground up north.

You must be new here.

The Empty Lord is definitely not a god of Order.

Although he is also not a God of Chaos, from the eyes of the innocent Karidians living an orderly live prior to Zaros' arrival, he was no doubt the cause of chaos.

I have no doubts some post-WWII Japaneses call the Allies the cause of chaos too.
