You seem to have misunderstood me and missed the bit where I was corrected and accepted said correction.
Their is no denying that Nex's Forces in the GWD reside in the remnants of her palace. During the battle for the Ritual Site (early 3rd age), Nex and her forces ended up back in her palace (maybe pushed back by the Saradomin-Zamorak alliance, maybe it was their base of operations and they were planning for battle, who knows), where a spell was cast to imprison them in stasis.
At some point, a temple was built on top of Nex's prison (I assume by Saradominists since they tended to do that with Zarosian structures).
Later in the 3rd age, Saradomin, Bandos, and Armadyl ally to defeat Zamorak and commission the god sword as a tool to defeat him. A group of aviansie ended up transporting the finished god sword blade, but they were ambushed en route by Zamorakian forces. The Aviansie retreated to the Temple built atop Nex's prison whilst under pursuit by Zamorakian forces. There, they received reinforcements from Saradominist and Bandosian forces before the situation deteriorated.
Bandosian forces set about attacking every side. Saradominist forces attempted and failed to seize the blade from Armadylian forces during the chaos. As a result all alliances fell apart in the battle. Zilyana attempted to take advantage of mind-control and mind manipulating amulets that appeared on her altar to Saradomin, which led to an ill-fated attack by Armadylian forces against them. One aviansie killed as a result of this attack begged Kree-arra in a letter written as he lay dying to wield the god sword against the other factions.
Though not stated anywhere, I find it fairly likely that Kree did attempt to wield the god sword against the other factions, and it was during this attack that the blade was shattered and scattered amongst the factions (who then fabricated forgeries to better protect the true pieces).
