Everyone knows how Kara-Meir wants to use the Stone of Jas to try to kill every god, right? The SoJ is gone now post-SE, so the Godless will need another way to get divine energy to match up to the gods and their armies (but not become actual gods themselves, because that would make them hypocrites. ;) ).

The Godless army pale in number compared to the other factions. They need to reach a certain level where they become Mahjarrat-ish, where they could actually become a potential threat. They are already using the Invention skill to buff-up their weapons with divine energy. The next big step would be to somehow be able to take in that divine energy into their bodies, like Nomad.

WHAT IF...

We use the abandoned Tower of Life to create new species of mutants infused with divine energy, like Captain America!

The tower of life is currently dead content atm. It's situated in an odd location, next to Gnome country, where gnomes have a maze stronghold; Khazard's battlegrounds and a Necromancer tower, which is Zamorakian territory; and to the north, Saradominist territory. The Tower of Life just feels like a perfect home base to initiate an all-out Godless assault.

Thoughts?

P.S. The opinions and ideas in this thread are not my own. I am speaking for someone.

I would be ecstatic to see actual content with the Godless at this point. It's not a bad idea, with what we know about how Invention and the faction was supposed to tie in together early on in the skill's development stage. Just give us something, JaGex, please. :( "Ptolemos, the friendly, informative Mahjarrat."

Honestly, I don't see what benifit the Godless would receive by giving the impression they could match any god blow-for-blow. Wouldn't it be smarter to keep their hand hidden away for a more opportune moment?

Living tech and symbiotics might be one way to go. If Divine energy mutates people and seemingly links them in ways to make them vulnerable, then maybe they could go for something symbiotic that contains the power instead leaving them untouched by mutations. Something that filters gathers and contains the energy without the need for intermediaries. So maybe they could find their own way forward instead of going the godhood path of divine energy infusion into living beings.

There is bound to be other potential energy sources as well, I would think.

I think it would be fun for a small faction of the Godless to experiment with cybernetics, but to go overboard with it would be totally unrepresentative of the faction.

They make specific note that even though they are just mortals, that with their large numbers, they will be able to stand up to the gods.

Remember when people accused the Godless as being cast as the "main characters?" Ha ha ha! Ha! Ha. Haaa.... :@

As to this idea, as part of larger release to show diversity in the faction? Sure. Alone? Not so much. Depending on one's view of transhumanism (and the Godless can't be totally on board, or they wouldn't actually have issue with the gods), too much modification would be against the few tenants the godless all believe in.

Also, I don't trust Jagex to not take this in a dark direction, attempting to draw parallels between such a program and the Order of Ascension in the laziest way possible (ie making it equally as bad).

I did have a dungeon idea The Gauntlet (Dungeon)
Quick find code: 185-186-306-65833071
Just a few basics for a concept though no idea who they would end up facing. I don;t expect it to be implemented in full even if interest is shown in it. But it is one idea for a direction at least. Read it, ignore it, pick over the idea, whatever, but from the OP I take it the intent is to get some Godless development on the military side of things. The Gauntlet idea introduces a new Anima artefact partly constructed from Anima and abyssal research, exploration and exploitation. Researched, designed and built by the Godless and surrounded by a living Anima crystal fortress. Or something like that lol IN that variation the power lies in the weapons and armaments that have been designed and the artifact letting those same weapons/forces then be employed effectively.
