According the "The Promised Gift", Zaros fashioned the ice crystal from an arch-glacor on the elemental plane of Leng. Arch-glacors are said to be hundreds of times larger than the regular ones that Lucien summoned and we can fight after Ritual of the Mahjarrat.

Which makes me wonder if this is a possible lorefail or not, depending on whether if Lucien simply summoned the Glacors from Leng during the Ritual or if he created them from scratch.

Summoning is only teleporting creatures from one place to another. Lucien can't create monsters for the same reason Zaros can't. It is beyond anyone but the elder gods. I think Lucien went to Leng and captured a score of them and got them to Gilienor near the ritual marker.
There is joy in combat that can't be found anywhere else.

Halloween 2011 established that Glacors are powerful ice elementals. Maybe icefiends, ice demons and glacors are all demons that evolved on Leng at some point.

During ROTM we see Lucien summoning Enhanced ice titans, Ice demons, and Glacors. Presumably the sheer amount of Ice energy at the Ritual Site made it easier to summon Ice creatures in comparison to other familiars. All these creatures presumably originated from the same place, which would be either Leng or the Spirit Plane. Since Leng is likely on the other side of the universe, I favour Lucien simply getting them from the Spirit Plane. Presumably you would need an insane amount of summoning skill to manage to summon Ice demons and Glacors, though.

The examine text of Glacors indicates that they have been infused with power from the Stone of Jas. This probably applies to the other monsters he summoned too, since they're stronger than their standard variants. You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

It's not a really a lorefail.
Zaros knew about the Glacors before his downfall. Lucien was still working for Zaros at the time, so there are any number of reasons how/why Lucien could have learned of Glacors and Leng. (ie: He heard of Zaros talking about an encounter with them, or was part of one of Zaros' expeditions to that world)

Lucien had also touched the Stone of Jas numerous times. We know the SoJ is a repository of knowledge.
It's possible that the stone showed him about Glacors (either someone else's memories of them, or Lucien was thinking "show me a powerful creature" and glacors was one of the first ones to show up) and from a memory he summoned/created them.

And ofc .. we don't know which of the Elders created the Siphon. It's possible that which ever one was associated with Ice created Leng AND created the Siphon.
The glacors could have easily been that Elder's attempt to do something like the Tok-haar, but the Glacors weren't suitable and abandoned.
But, because of the ties between the artifact, the world, and that Elder, Lucien may not have even been conciously aware of what he was trying to summon. He could have just been trying to summon "something", and since he already tapped into Ice Fiends and Ice Titans, the Siphon and Stone just kept running with the theme and summoned the glacors.
And that's also not to say that Glacors weren't created by the SoJ in the first place either on Leng.

I think that Zaros may have brought a few Mahjarrat with him while making the crystals, so maybe Lucien captured a bunch of ice stuff while there.

Or he used the power and knowledge granted by the Stone and Staff to go there collect them, and hid them in the cave.

Regardless, I think that he's been on Leng.

What a amazing theories here!

I think Glacors are created by Wen, Wen is the elder god of Ice and of death aswell, since the Glacors are pretty much frozen corpse ice elementals that fits. But the staff of Armadyl or elder Siphon, could be created by Wen aswell. If you remove the Armadyl symbol on top and the Saradomin star on the bottom, which Armadyl himself added to the original Staff created by the elder gods, the staff looks like a branch, with no leaves or anything, like a sort of winter tree, so that would fit into Wens area. That and the relationship between the Glacor and the Siphon (armadyl battlestaff) might mean that Wen was the elder who created the siphon. I don't know what elements she wanted to merge however and if she also created the blade.

On the other hand it's really weird that Wen would willingly create life since she even attacked Mah's core to prevent life from becoming reality.

Also, regular Glacors have Glacyte minions would Arch-Glacors (who are 100 times taller than a Glacor) have regular Glacors as minions as well?
