, just hear me out for a moment, this is something I have been thinking for a long while, but recently decided to post it.
But u might say: Zack that is stupid and makes no sense, u should feel ashamed to post that theory!!!!
Well give me a chance to explain!!!
So why do I think Sliske plans to die?, its pretty simple actually, the answer is all his actions till now, lets begin with some key points:
As we know mahjarrat face the void when they die, in other worlds they have no souls to go to the afterlife, we also know that Sliske doesn't want to become a god (and this is a mayor key point), as we all know when someone becomes a god they give up their chance to get an afterlife, they have no soul to go to the afterlife, we also know he has 2 elder artifacts but chose not to be a god and instead decided to gather knowledge, finally in kindred spirits he took a piece of our soul, and sure u can say it was for our world guardian powers, but aren't god powers better than the ability to resist god magic, at our current state even if gods cant use magic on us we aren't strong enough to beat some of the strongest creatures on this world.
So what if the true reason Sliske wanted a soul was to get an afterlife, and the fact we had world guardian powers was a bonus?, even if Sliske dies he can continue taking action from the afterlife, just with the advantage that everyone thinks he is gone, my theory is he has a mayor plan of his own and for it to continue smoothly it requires him to be out of the picture for everyone else, as long as he has a soul of his own, even if he dies he can continue his plans.
On a side note nomads body could fit into this plan either as Sliske taking control of it or something else.
Well, that theory is not too far fetched, but would only apply if he could fool "death" into taking it as his own soul, That is unless he is trying to get his hands on our handy dandy respawning and skip the whole dying thing entirely.
Now
that
is an awesome form of immortality, One repeated to an extent is Gower Quest, a joke quest to be sure but it is something people would pursue if they ever saw it could be done.

Sirprysinly, you are not the first one to suggest this.
It is one of the possibilities and I have no evidence against it (mainly because Sliske is still a mystery.)

I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.
Sliske doesn't want death to be the end, he doesn't want to cease to exist.
If he'll continue his mischief as a disembodied spirit, who knows. But I fully understand his wanting to live on after shuffling off the mortal coil.
It would be a soul crushing, no pun intended, realization to learn that you'll simply stop existing one day. No amount of power in life can make up for that fact.
Sympathies aside, his methods are unacceptable. My first priority in Endgame is Saradomins death, but if I can be greedy and have Sliske bite the bullet too, true justice will be served for the world.

Preferably by having the giant mole bite his head off
