From a lore perspective, the events and new war started up by Sliske has been boring compared to the God Wars of old.

Because, design wise, doing that much content in comparison would be really expensive.

So, I was talking to some of my Lore friends, and we came up with that idea that, maybe, the current Wars are a kind of Cold War.

I mean, where else has Padomenes been all this time?

Personally, I would like to see maybe a new Lore and Histories that changes to different points of view telling us what is happening behind the scenes, and the tensions leading up to the mini-explosions that were BoL, BnB, The Heart, CFB, Tuska Comes, and other Events related to the Gods.

Idk. Thoughts? Opinions?

I'd rather just see a God wars with cities taken and reclaimed every other week, constant danger with low level players struggling to survive, being forced to adapt quickly and only the most persistant players making it to the top, and even then there is a constant danger with nobody being able to trust each other, alliances being forged and broken, and everyone looking over their shoulder, waiting for the next strike.

I want every trek between Lumbridge and Varrock to be a dangerous warzone. I want to fear for my life when I go on my farm runs. I wanna see people desperately forming groups and communities just to stay alive.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

It was called Darkscape.

It was a step in the right direction, but it was way too safe and having everyone start over is ridiculous.

Yes well, when I want to die a grisly death I'll baste myself in BBQ sauce and whip a Rune Dragon's tackle with a tea towel. Until then if something is happening supposedly maybe we could see raiding parties similar to BatB. If it's a cold war then get the Thieves Guild involved so I can get in on the action!

From a lore point of view?

I believe yes. Without Bandos to throw more oil on the fire, i assume the god's have come to a stalemate in this war. With Sliske holding a contest and him not being too trustworthy, they must be careful in their plannings.
